CLUB HISTORY SECTION
Our prized possession was RHIB Emily.
Purchased with National
Lottery funding and launched by Northumberland MP Alan Beith, who was then the
Deputy leader of the
Liberal Party. Emily is the envy of many clubs,
divers and onlookers alike. Unfortunately development of her home 'garage' meant
she has
to go as storage is no longer affordable.

Emily is a Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) 8.2 metres long, manufactured by Tornado. She is powered by a 240 horsepower Yamaha turbo diesel inboard marine engine which runs on marine diesel (red coloured and duty free). Emily is fitted with the following accessories:
VHF marine radio
Global Positioning System (GPS)
Echo sounder
Navigation lights
Coastal emergency flare pack
First aid kit
Anchor / Sea anchor
RIB Jenny (Emily's little sister)
